Sweet and Sour Chicken Wings

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Combine jelly, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, ketchup and lemon juice in a small saucepan.
  3. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes uncovered.
  4. Cut the chicken wings in half at the joint.
  5. Cut off tips of wings and discard.
  6. Dredge chicken in cornstarch, coating well; dip in egg.
  7. Pour oil to depth of 2 to 3 inches into a fry pan.
  8. Fry chicken until golden brown; drain on paper towels.
  9. Place chicken in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish and pour sauce over chicken.
  10. Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes, turning chicken once.
