Beef In Wine Sauce Stew Recipe
- 4 lbs. boneless beef, cut into 1 1/2-2 inch cubes
- Garlic pwdr
- 2 cans golden brown mushroom soup
- 1 env. onion soup mix
- 3/4 c. dry sherry
- 1 c. mushrooms, fresh or possibly canned
- 2 c. carrots
- 2 c. cubed potatoes
- Sprinkle garlic over meat.
- Put in heavy casserole dish or possibly Dutch oven.
- Mix remaining ingredients, except carrots and potatoes.
- Pour over meat.
- Mix well.
- Cover and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour, 15 min.
- Add in potatoes and carrots.
- Cook 45 min more, till vegetables are done and meat is tender.
