Barb's Special Sweet Breads Part 3 (Spandauer)

  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPANDAUER Place the dough on a floured board and cut it in half.
  2. Roll each half 1/4 inch thick Cut into 4 inch squares.
  3. Spread Almond butter on each square.
  4. Sprinkle plumped currants or raisins on top.
  5. Fold corners to center.
  6. Put a bit of your favorite jelly in the center.
  7. Spoon Vanilla Cream in centre.
  8. Place 2 inch apart on baking sheet.
  9. Brush with egg wash. Let rise until puffy.
  10. Brush again with the egg wash.
  11. Bake at 375F (190C).
  12. for 10 to 12 minutes.
