Dessert Tortillas With Caramel
- 6 flour tortillas, cut in quarters (6-inch size)
- cooking oil, for frying
- 12 cup sugar
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 18 caramels
- 14 cup pure unsweetened orange juice
- Fry tortillas in 3/4" hot oil until crisp and golden, turning once; drain.
- Toss with combined sugar and cinnamon.
- Melt caramels and orange juice over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Serve with tortillas.
- Microwave: Microwave caramels and juice in a 2- cup measuring cup or 1 quart bowl on high for 1 1/2 minutes; stir.
- Return to microwave for 1 minute or until smooth, stirring every 30 seconds.
