Simple Cheese Skewers
- swiss cheese
- stale bread
- butter
- Cut the cheese and bread into matching square pieces.
- Each piece should be about 1/2 inch thick and 2 inches thick.
- Thread alternate pieces of bread and cheese on to skewers.
- Melt the butter in a heavy skillet (to the depth of 1/2 inch).
- Cook skewers in the butter, turning frequently, until the cheese starts to melt.
