Simple Cheese Skewers

  1. Cut the cheese and bread into matching square pieces.
  2. Each piece should be about 1/2 inch thick and 2 inches thick.
  3. Thread alternate pieces of bread and cheese on to skewers.
  4. Melt the butter in a heavy skillet (to the depth of 1/2 inch).
  5. Cook skewers in the butter, turning frequently, until the cheese starts to melt.
