- 200 grams Thinly sliced pork
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 as much (to taste) Green onion or scallion
- 1 Oil for deep frying
- Rinse the potatoes well, leave the skin on and cut into bite-sized chunks.
- Finely chop the garlic and green onions and cut the pork into bite-sized pieces.
- Warm the oil for frying and fry the potatoes.
- Once you can pierce them all the way through with a skewer, take them out of the oil and put on a plate.
- Grease a frying pan with a little vegetable oil (not listed in ingredients) and cook the garlic on a low heat.
- When the garlic is a golden colour and has become fragrant, add the pork and cook on a medium heat.
- When the pork changed to a light colour, add the potatoes from Step 2 along with the soy sauce, mirin, sugar and vinegar.
- Keep stirring the mixture from time to time, being careful not to let anything burn.
- Once the sauce has reduced, it's ready.
- Sprinkle some green onions over it to finish.
