Herb Broiled Tomatoes Recipe
- 3/4 c. bite size shredded whole wheat cereal biscuits, finely crushed
- 1 1/2 tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dry whole basil
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1 tbsp. reduced calorie butter, melted
- 3 med. tomatoes, about 1 1/2 lbs.
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a small bowl.
- Add in butter, stirring well; set aside.
- Cut tomatoes in half crosswise.
- Place tomato halves, cut side up, on rack of a broiler pan.
- Broil 7" from heat for 3 min.
- Sprinkle tomatoes with cereal mix and broil 1 additional minute.
- Place on a serving platter.
- 6 servings, 43 calories per half.
