Holiday Appetizer Quiche

  1. Preheat oven to 400F (200C) degrees for crust, combine flour and cracker crumbs.
  2. Cut in butter flavor shortening until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
  3. Sprinkle with the 1/2 cup water, a tablespoon at a time.
  4. Toss with fork until crumbs are compl etely moistened.
  5. Press mixture into bottom of ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan.
  6. Prick crust with a fork.
  7. Sprinkle Swiss cheese, ham, onions, parsley, and pimientos evenly over crust.
  8. Beat eggs, cream, half and half, salt, and pepper.
  9. Pour over filled crust.
  10. Bake at 400F (200C) degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until set.
  11. Cool for 5 minutes.
  12. Cut in 1 1/2 by 2 inch pieces.
  13. Serve warm.
  14. NOTE: Crust may bubble during baking and need to be pricked with a fork again.
