Chocolate Crinkles Cookies
- 2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 stick (1/2 c.) butter or margarine, room temperature (not spread)
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 sq. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
- Mix flour, baking powder and cinnamon.
- Beat butter and sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs. Beat in vanilla and chocolate until blended.
- Beat in flour mixture on low speed until blended.
- Refrigerate dough 1 hour or until firm.
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Lightly grease sheets.
- Shape heaping teaspoonfuls of dough into 1-inch balls and roll in confectioners sugar.
- Place 1 1/2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake 12 minutes until tops are puffed and cracked.
- Do not overbake.
