Bohemian Stew
- 2-1/2 lb. beef stew meat
- 2 cups chopped carrots
- 2 cups chopped celery
- 3 onions, chopped
- 3 tbsp. tapioca
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 can (1-3/4 lb.) tomatoes
- 1 cup diced potatoes
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 cup hot water
- Combine all ingredients into heavy cookware.
- Bake covered at 250F for five hours, stirring occasionally.
- Serve with dumplings or boiled potatoes or buttered noodles.
