Red Wine Dessert Sauce - Rdvinsaus

  1. Place wine and cherry juice in a saucepan.Heat to a boiling point.
  2. Meanwhile, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
  3. Add to the boiling mixture, whisking constantly.
  4. Boil for a minute or two.
  5. Remove from heat and add cognac.
  6. Add almonds, if desired.
  7. Serve warm or cool.
