Red Wine Dessert Sauce - Rdvinsaus
- 1 cup red wine
- 12 cup cherry juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 5 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon cognac
- slivered almonds (optional)
- Place wine and cherry juice in a saucepan.Heat to a boiling point.
- Meanwhile, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Add to the boiling mixture, whisking constantly.
- Boil for a minute or two.
- Remove from heat and add cognac.
- Add almonds, if desired.
- Serve warm or cool.
