Green Bean Casserole And Pilaf Recipe
- 2 pound fresh green beans
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 1 pound cubed beef or possibly lamb
- 1/2 c. green pepper, minced
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
- 1 c. grnd tomatoes
- 1/2 c. c. water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grnd black pepper
- String the beans, wash and cut into 1 inch pcs.
- In a large, heavy pot heat the oil and brown the meat.
- Add in beans, green pepper and garlic.
- Cover and stir occasionally for 10 to 15 min.
- Add in tomatoes and water, salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 40 to 45 min or possibly till meat and beans are tender.
- Add in seasoning toward the end of cooking time.
- Serve with Rice Pilaf.
- Serves 6.
