Banana Souffles With Chocolate Sauce Recipe
- For Sauce
- 1/3 c. whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 4 ounce bittersweet chocolate minced For Souffles
- 1 1/2 c. mashed bananas about 3 large
- 1/3 c. sugar plus 1 Tbsp.
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 4 lrg egg whites
- 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 pch salt
- Try using nonfat Cold Whip Light and omitting the corn syrup.
- 1.
- Bring whipping cream and corn syrup to simmer in small saucepan.
- Remove from heat.
- Add in chocolate and stir till melted and smooth.
- (Can be prepared 1 day ahead.
- Cover and chill.)

- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Butter eight 3/4 c souffle dishes.
- Sprinkle with sugar.
- Shake out excess.
- Mix mashed bananas, 1/3 c sugar and lemon juice in large bowl to blend.
- Beat egg whites in another large bowl till frothy.
- Add in baking pwdr, salt and remaining 1 tbs of sugar and beat till stiff but not dry.
- Gently fold beaten egg whites into banana mix in 3 additions.

- Divide batter equally among prepared dishes.
- Place dishes in large baking pan.
- Add in sufficient warm water to pan to come halfway up sides of dishes.
- Bake till souffles are puffed and golden brown, about 35 min.
- 4.
- Meanwhile rewarm sauce over low heat.
- Serve souffles immediately with hot sauce.
