Holiday Baked Ham

  1. Preheat oven to 325u0b0F.
  2. Remove rind from ham.
  3. Place ham on rack in open roasting pan, fat side up.
  4. Insert meat thermometer with bulb in thickest part away from fat or bone.
  5. Roast ham in oven about 3 hours.
  6. Drain pineapple; reserve syrup.
  7. In small saucepan, combine syrup, preserves, mustard and allspice.
  8. Bring to a boil; continue boiling, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
  9. Remove ham from oven, but keep oven hot.
  10. Stud ham with cloves; brush with glaze.
  11. Using wooden picks, secure pineapple and cherries to ham.
  12. Brush again with glaze.
  13. Return ham to oven.
  14. Roast 30 minutes longer or until thermometer registers 160u0b0F (about 25 minutes per pound total cooking time).
  15. Brush with glaze 15 minutes before done.
  16. Let ham stand 20 minutes before slicing.
