Savory Pork Chops
- 4 large loin pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- oil
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. orange marmalade
- green onion
- Mix flour, seasoned salt, pepper and mustard.
- Coat chops on both sides with mixture.
- Heat a little oil in medium skillet with cover.
- Brown chops well on both sides over medium heat.
- Pour off any excess fat.
- Mix water, soy sauce, ketchup and marmalade. Pour over chops.
- Cover.
- Cook slowly for 20 minutes or until chops are tender, turning once.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onion.
- Recipe may be halved or doubled.
- Good served with parslied potatoes and steamed broccoli.
- Preparation: 10 minutes. Cooking time: 30 minutes.
- Serves 4.
