Tomato and Bread Salad

  1. Toss together the tomatoes, red onion, and oregano in a large serving bowl.
  2. Break the taralli into 1-inch pieces, and add to the bowl.
  3. Drizzle with the vinegar and oil, and season with the salt.
  4. Let the salad sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes, to moisten the taralli with the dressing and tomato juices.
  5. Toss with the shredded basil just before serving.
