Seafood Casserole With Macaroni
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 3/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms, drained or use fresh
- 2/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 4 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. shredded American cheese
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 lb. shell macaroni, cooked
- 1 (12 oz.) can crab
- 1 (12 oz.) can lobster, frozen
- 1/2 lb. shrimp
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- Melt butter in saucepan.
- Cook onion, green pepper and mushrooms until soft.
- Remove from heat.
- Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
- Stir in milk.
- Cook until thickened.
- Add cheese and lemon juice.
- Heat until cheese melts.
- Add mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
- Alternate layers of macaroni, crab, lobster and shrimp in 2 buttered casseroles.
- Pour sauce over casseroles. Sprinkle with parsley.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Casseroles freeze well.
- Yields 20 servings.
