Texoma Tamales

  1. Beat lard until light and creamy.
  2. Mix dry ingredients and beat into lard, a small anount at a time.
  3. Beat in chicken broth to make a light soft dough.
  4. Spread half of dough in bottum of a greased 10x7x1 1/2 inch baking pan.
  5. Spoon chili over the dough.
  6. Carefully spread remaining dough over the chili.
  7. Bake in 350F (180C).
  8. oven for 45 minutes.
  9. Cut crosswise into 8 tamale shapes.
