Old-Fashioned Porridge
- 3 cups water
- 1 12 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups long-cooking oats, uncooked
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 14 cup molasses
- 13 cup maple syrup
- 14 cup brown sugar, packed
- 34 teaspoon cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg
- 12 tablespoon ground ginger
- 14 lb raisins
- 14 cup chopped walnuts
- In a saucepan, add water and salt; heat until boiling.
- Add in oats;cook for 5 minutes; cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients; add in oats; mix to combine.
- Pour mixture into a greased 13x9 inch pan.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 2 hours.
- Serve hot.
