Vermont Baked Apples Recipe

  1. Pare top half of apples; remove cores.
  2. Place in 11 x 7 x 2 inch baking dish.
  3. Put some raisins into each apple.
  4. Combine syrup and lemon peel.
  5. Pour over apples.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till tender.
  7. Baste often.
  8. Serve hot or possibly chilled.
