Vermont Baked Apples Recipe
- 6 lg. tart red apples
- 2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 1 c. maple flavored syrup
- 1/4 c. raisins
- Pare top half of apples; remove cores.
- Place in 11 x 7 x 2 inch baking dish.
- Put some raisins into each apple.
- Combine syrup and lemon peel.
- Pour over apples.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till tender.
- Baste often.
- Serve hot or possibly chilled.
