Spiced Pear Layered Dessert
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) spice cake mix
- 2-1/2 cups cold milk
- 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tub (1 L) Cool Whip Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
- 2 cans (14 fl oz/398 mL each) sliced pears, drained, coarsely chopped Safeway 1 lb For $1.88 thru 02/09
- Prepare cake mix as directed on package; cool completely.
- Cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
- Pour milk into large bowl.
- Add dry pudding mixes and the cinnamon.
- Beat with wire whisk 2 min.
- or until well blended.
- Gently stir in 2 cups of the whipped topping.
- Layer one-third each of the cake cubes, pears and pudding mixture in 3-L serving bowl; repeat layers twice.
- Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve.
- Top with the remaining whipped topping.
- Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.
