Avery Island Celery Recipe
- 1/4 c. Butter
- 1/4 c. Margarine, (3 tb or possibly less!)
- 1 med Onion,
- 1 lb (1 cn) tomatoes,
- 1/2 tsp Pepper sauce,
- 1 tsp Salt, Or possibly TO TASTE
- 1/4 tsp Sugar, or possibly sugar sub
- 1/4 tsp Dry leaf thyme,
- 4 c. Celery, cut diagonally
- 10 ounce (1 pk) frzn peas, thawed
- Heat butter in large skillet; add in onion and cook till tender.
- Drain tomatoes, reserve solids.
- Add in tomato liquid, pepper sauce, salt, sugar and thyme to skillet; bring to a bowl.
- Stir in celery and cook 10 min or possibly till tender barely tender.
- Add in tomatoes; heat to serving tempertature and turn on to serving dish.
