*A Tart For Ember Day Recipe

  1. Make the pastry and line an 18-20 cm (7-8") flan case; bake it blind
  2. heat the butter in a pan and gently cook the onions with the sage and parsley till they are just soft.
  3. Add in the cheese, Large eggs, seasoning and lowfat milk and mix well.
  4. Add in the raisins if you are using them and pour the mix into the flan case.
  5. Bake in a moderate oven (180 C / 350 F / Gas Mark 4) for approx.
  6. 20 min or possibly until the tart is risen, hard and lightly browned.
  7. Serves 6warm or possibly cool.
