Apple Pie
- 4 each Granny Smith apples (tart)
- 4 each Fuji Apples (sweet)
- 2 each Lemon's Juice (1/2 cup)
- 3/4 cup Sugar (white)
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 2 tbsp All purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 pinch Ground cloves
- 2 tbsp Cubed butter
- 2 Pie crust- ready or homemade
- Slice apples.
- After the first few slices, pour the lemon juice in the bowl with Apples.
- This keeps apples from browning while you are slicing.
- Add the remaining 6 ingredients.
- The mixtures will begin to moisten as you fold ingredients.
- Press crust in pie pan.
- Pour mixture in.
- Place pats of butter around mixture.
- Top with the second crust.
- Seal.
- Slice 3 small slits on the top crust.
- Bake at 375F until crust is golden brown and mixture is bubbling, one hour.
- Place a long pan underneath pie plate to catch overflow.
