Amritsari Fish with Salmon
- 1 pound Boneless Salmon Fillet, Cut Into Cubes
- 1/4 cups Malt Vinegar Or Any Ordinary Vinegar
- 1 cup Oil For Deep Frying
- 1 teaspoon Chat Masala
- 3/4 cups Gram Flour Or Besan
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Tandoori Chicken BBQ Masala Or Garam Masala
- 1/4 cups Yogurt
- 3 Tablespoons Juice Of Ginger
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 teaspoon Carom Seeds
- 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- Marinate the fish pieces with malt vinegar.
- Set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Add all the ingredients for the batter in a big bowl, mix well.
- Slide the fish pieces into the batter.
- Stir to coat the fish pieces well in the batter and let stand for another 5 to 7 minutes.
- In the meantime, heat oil for deep frying.
- Slide the fish pieces into the hot oil in batches, not too many pieces at a time.
- Fry the fish pieces till they turn a bright golden brown color on both sides.
- Sprinkle chat masala on top and serve with onion salad and ketchup or green chutney as appetizer.
- You can also serve this as a side dish for your main course.
