Banana Nut Crescent Squares2 Recipe
- 2 c. thinly sliced ripe bananas
- 1/4 c. minced nuts (1/4 to 1/2)
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon (1 to 2)
- 2 can Pillsbury (8 oz) Refrigerated Quick Crescent Dinner Rolls
- Topping
- 2 Tbsp.
- butter or possibly margarine1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar1/3 c. minced nuts2 Tbsp.
- light corn syrup
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine first four ingredients and blend well.
- Separate one can crescent dough into two large rectangles.
- Place in ungreased 13 x 9 x inch pan.
- Press over bottom, sealing perforations.
- Spread banana mix over dough.
- Separate remaining can crescent dough into two large rectangles.
- Place over banana filling.
- Don't seal perforations or possibly edges.
- Bake 20 min till light golden.
- Meanwhile, in small saucepan, heat butter.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Remove coffe cake from oven.
- Spread with topping.
- Return to oven 5-10 min till deep golden.
- Cold.
- Cut into squares.
- Makes 12-15 servings.
