Sweet and Spicy Chili With Cheese

  1. Separate chop meat in a non-stick pan.
  2. Sprinkle meat tenderizer over chop meat.
  3. Cook over MEDIUM heat until all meat turns brown.
  4. Use a spatula to breakup the chop meat as it is cooking.
  5. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  6. Place olive oil in a large stock pot over MEDIUM heat.
  7. When the oil is hot, add green pepper, mushroom, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  8. Cook until mushrooms brown and shrink, about 3-5 minutes.
  9. Add chop meat, tomato sauce, kidney beans, sugar, and 2 tablespoons chili powder.
  10. Mix together.
  11. Simmer for 25 minutes on MEDIUM-LOW heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  12. Taste.
  13. If a more spicier chili is desired, add more chili powder.
  14. (Note: Chili will become spicier as it simmers).
  15. Continue cooking another 10-15 minutes.
  16. Serve in bowls.
  17. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  18. Add a dollop of sour cream.
