Chicken With Wine Recipe
- 1/2 c. unseasoned bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/8 teaspoon paprika
- 6 chicken breast cutlets, halved
- 2 tbsp. veg. oil
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 c. cool water
- 1 c. red or possibly white wine
- 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- Blend crumbs, flour, seasonings.
- Dip chicken breast in water, then dredge in the seasoned crumbs.
- Heat half of oil and butter in skillet.
- Saute/fry chicken till lightly browned, adding more oil and butter as needed.
- Transfer chicken to casserole sprayed with Pam.
- Add in wine to skillet, heat 30 seconds.
- Blend 2 Tbsp.
- flour with 1 c. cool water, add in to wine along with 1/2 c. mushrooms.
- Bring to boil and let thicken.
- Pour gravy over chicken.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- Good served with boiled rice.
