Simple & Delicate Fettuccine Alfredo

  1. Cook fettuccine until al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan.
  3. Add heavy cream & pepper.
  4. When butter & heavy cream are almost boiling, slowly start adding cheese.
  5. Lower the heat to medium.
  6. Continue to whisk until all grated cheese has melted.
  7. About 5 minutes.
  8. Sauce will be slightly thin.
  9. The sauce will probably not be thicker than a thin gravy consistency.
  10. It won't matter.
  11. Slowly add pasta into the alfredo sauce.
  12. Toss liberally!
