Isle of Pines

  1. Bring pomegranate juice and sguar to a boil in a heavy saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Boil until reduced to 1/4 cup, about 5 minutes.
  3. Cool syrup.
  4. Pour 2 Tablespoons syrup, 1/2 cup rum, and 1/4 cup grapefruit juice into cocktail shaker.
  5. Fill with ice, shake vigorously.
  6. Strain into 2 martini glasses.
  7. Repeat to make 2 more drinks.
