Sweet And Sour Pork(Microwave Main Dish)
- 4 medium thin sliced carrots
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 lb. lean boneless pork, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
- 2 medium sliced green peppers
- 1 medium sliced onion
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1 (16 oz.) can drained pineapple chunks
- 1/2 c. pineapple juice
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce (optional)
- Place carrots and oil in 3-quart microwave casserole; stir to coat.
- Cover and place in oven (cook on High 4 minutes).
- Add pork green pepper and onion.
- Mix lightly.
- Cover.
- (Cook on High 5 minutes.)
- Dissolve cornstarch in reserved pineapple juice. Stir in remaining ingredients except pineapple.
- Cover; cook (50) for 15 minutes.
- Stir; cover and cook (50) for 15 minutes.
- Serve over hot rice.
- Sprinkle with chow mein noodles.
