Honey Kissed Winter Vegetables

  1. Steam the squash, turnip, carrots and onion over 1 inch of boiling water in a large skillet for 5 minutes or until tender.
  2. Drain.
  3. Combine the rest in a bowl.
  4. Drizzle over squash and toss to coat in a heated serving dish.
  5. A second option is to bake the squash in the oven cut in half and bake at 325F until skin can be pierced with a fork.
  6. along with the quartered onion for a more Carmel taste.
  7. Steam the other veggies as directed.
  8. Peel the squash and add to mix of onion, turnips and carrots.
  9. If using Butter buds simply sprinkle into the dressing.
  10. Use the equivalent of 2 tbsp butter.
  11. Read the container.
  12. Note if Vegetarian use acceptable substitute for you.
  13. I use Dumpling Squash.
  14. NOTE not all Vegetarians eat honey.
