Barbecued Spareribs

  1. Preheat oven to 400F (200C).
  2. Place spareribs on rack in baking pan.
  3. Brown in a 400F (200C) oven for 15 minutes; turn and brown on other side for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Drain fat and put ribs in crockpot.
  5. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs.
  6. Cover and ccok on low 6 to 8 hours.
  7. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
