Cheddar-Filled Meatballs (Healthy)
- 1 pound Lean (93%) Ground Beef (ground Turkey Can Be Substituted)
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 whole Egg White
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Italian Breadcrumbs
- 2 Tablespoons Ground Flaxseed
- 2 teaspoons Dried Minced Onion
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Coarse Ground Garlic Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 16 cubes (Small Size, To Fit Inside Of A Meatball) Cheddar Cheese
- 1.
- Preheat oven to 350 F. 2.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl combine ground beef, eggs and Worcestershire sauce.
- 3.
- Add breadcrumbs, flax seed and seasonings and mix well.
- 4.
- Take 2 tablespoons of meat and wrap it around 1 cheese cube forming a ball.
- You will get about 15-16 meatballs depending on how accurate your 2 tablespoon measurement was.
- 5.
- Place them on a foil lined and greased rimmed cookie sheet.
- 6.
- Bake for 17-18 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- 7.
- Allow to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
- 8.
- Roasted veggies and potatoes make a great side for this.
- Meatballs reheat well for leftovers.
