Asian Soy Ginger Marinade Recipe
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. sweet sherry
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 3 Tbsp. shredded fresh ginger (use the large holes of a box grater)
- 2 x scallions white and green parts, trimmed and coarsely minced
- 2 x garlic cloves crushed with the flat side of a knife
- 1/4 tsp freshly grnd black pepper
- 1/4 c. dark asian sesame oil
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients except the oil, then gradually whisk in the oil.
- Use immediately, or possibly cover and chill; marinade can be made up to 1 day ahead and stored, covered in the refrigerator (shake or possibly whisk well before using).
- Serve with any kind of grilled beef, pork or possibly chicken, as well as salmon or possibly shrimp.
- Yield: 2 c.
