Round Steak Pinwheels Recipe
- 1 round steak, 1/2 inch thick (2 lbs. or possibly larger)
- 3 c. bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. grated onion
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1 tbsp. minced parsley
- 1/3 c. cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- Tenderize steak by pounding with meat mallet.
- Mix together bread crumbs, grated onion, parsley, 1/3 c. soup, melted butter and seasonings.
- Spread stuffing mix on round steak roll as for a jelly roll.
- Place rolled steak on heavy duty aluminum foil in baking dish.
- Mix remaining soup with 1/2 can lowfat milk and pour over steak.
- Fold foil around steak and soup mix and seal well.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till steak is tender.
- Open foil and allow steak to brown last 10 min of cooking time.
- Use the mushroom soup sauce to make gravy.
- Slice rolled steak into 1 inch slices.
- Makes 8-12 servings.
