Nummy Raspberry Bars

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and brown sugar in mixing bowl.
  2. Stir well to blend.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
  4. Stir in oats.
  5. Press about 2/3 of crumb mixture into lightly greased 13" x 9" cake pan.
  6. Spread with raspberry jam.
  7. Add almonds to remaining crumb mixture and sprinkle over jam.
  8. Pat down lightly.
  9. Bake at 375F for 30-35 minutes or until golden.
  10. Cool.
  11. Cut into bars.
  12. Just before serving, sprinkle with icing sugar, if desired.
