Giddy-Up Horse Cake

  1. Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 13x9-inch pan, lining pan with foil sprayed with cooking spray before adding batter.
  2. Cool cake in pan 10 min.
  3. ; invert onto wire rack.
  4. Remove pan; cool cake completely.
  5. Cut cake into pieces as shown in both diagram and photo.
  6. Arrange on platter for horse's head and neck; set aside.
  7. Microwave chocolate and cream in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 to 2 min.
  8. or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after each minute.
  9. Remove 1/4 cup chocolate mixture; spoon into small resealable plastic bag.
  10. Set aside.
  11. Add powdered sugar to remaining chocolate mixture; whisk until smooth and of spreading consistency.
  12. Spread onto cake.
  13. Decorate with candies as shown in photo.
  14. Cut small piece off 1 bottom corner of bag; use to pipe chocolate onto cake for the horse's mane.
