Bachelor Meat Stew Recipe
- 3 med onions quartered
- 2 lb stewing beef in chunks
- 6 x carrots cut up
- 1 c. cut-up celery
- 16 ounce canned tomatoes
- 8 ounce tomato sauce
- 4 med potatoes quartered
- 3 Tbsp. tapioca
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- Place all ingredients in a tightly covered Dutch oven (heavy 5-qt pot with tightly fitting cover).
- Bake in 300 degree oven for 5 hrs.
- Don't open at any time.
- Don't increase amounts of ingredients.
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
- Comments: Put meat in pan first and add in some meat tenderizer if you like.
