Chocolate Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies

  1. Melt chocolate and margarine over very low heat.
  2. Stir sugar into chocolate mixture; add eggs and vanilla stir until completely mixed.
  3. Mix in flour until well blended.
  4. Stir in nuts.
  5. Spread in greased and floured 8-inch square pan.
  6. Prepare topping.
  7. Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg and flour until smooth.
  8. Spoon over brownie batter mixture in pan, swirl with knife to make a "marble" pattern.
  9. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out almost clean.
  10. Cool in pan on a rack; cut cream cheese brownies into squares.
