Meat Loaf With Stewed Tomatoes Recipe
- 1 pound hamburger or possibly venison
- 1 pound roll warm sausage
- 1 pkg. Lipton's onion soup mix
- 3/4 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
- 1 sm. can tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Large eggs
- Mix first 7 ingredients till blended.
- Bake at 350 degrees till browned.
- Carefully remove from pan without breaking.
- Drain drippings reserving 2 Tbsp.. Place on burner.
- Add in minced onion and pepper; cook till limp but not browned.
- Stir in 2 Tbsp.
- flour, then the cans of stewed tomatoes.
- Cook several min till thickened.
- If not thick sufficient, mix 1 Tbsp.
- cornstarch with some cool water and stir into tomatoes.
- Slice meat loaf and serve with stewed tomatoes over it.
