Pasta carbonara
- 1 packages fettuccini
- 1 packages bacon
- 2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 4 egg yokes
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup tomatoes , grape or cherry size. Any small tomato
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 cup diced onion
- Cook pasta according to directions, preheat the oven to 450 and cook tomatoes and mushrooms on large cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes until they begin to pop.
- Chop bacon into small bite size pieces, cook until brown then remove and place on paper towel to drain.
- Saute onions in bacon grease until brown.
- In large serving bowl add egg yolks, Parmesan cheese and pepper.
- Mix until combined.
- Add peas during the last minute of pasta cooking time.
- Drain pasta add to egg and cheese mixture, then combine all other ingredients.
- Make sure to mix thoroughly to coat all the noodles.
- Make sure to use the tomatoes dripping from pan too.
