Anise Cumin Fennel Aquavit Recipe

  1. Crush the anise, cumin, and fennel with bottom of heavy skillet.
  2. Place in glass jar.
  3. Pour vodka into jar.
  4. Cover, and let stand at room temperature for 3 weeks.
  5. Strain vodka through cheesecloth.
  6. Throw away solids, and carefully pour infused vodka back into original bottle.
  7. Keep infused aquavit in freezer till ready to serve.
  8. Serve chilled, directly from freezer.
  9. This recipe yields 1 3/4 liters flavored aquavit.
