Au Gratin redneck style (cheese & heat)
- 3 medium golden potatoes
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3/4 cup minced onion
- 1/2 cup mushroom
- 1 some pepper kernals
- 1 touch of chicken stock or boulion
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 dollops of sour cream
- 1 1/4 cup sharp cheddar
- 1/4 cup provalone cheese
- 1/4 cup parmesean
- 1 dash paprika
- 1 dash italian seasoning
- 1 dash garlic salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 dash red pepper flakes
- 1 sliced peppercinni
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mince onions & slice the potatoes and mushrooms
- Heat butter on high
- Saute onions & add garlic salt, peppers, boulion/stock.
- Mix in mushrooms after onions are browned
- Turn off heat and mix in egg yolks & milk
- Stir sour cream & parmesean cheese into sauce
- In greased casarole pan layer onion sauce & potato slices
- Top with other cheeses then dollop more sour cream on top
- Sprinkle the seasoning, peppercinni & paprika on top
- Bake covered for 45 minutes and 15 uncovered
- Let stand 10-15 minutes before serving
