Chicken And Wild Rice Soup Recipe

  1. Heat butter in large skillet over medium-low heat.
  2. Add in celery, carrots, onions, almonds, and pimento and cook till slightly softened, stirring occasionally about 5 min.
  3. Fold in dillweed, pepper, garlic, salt, bay leaves and turmeric.
  4. Bring 3 qts stock, white and wild rice and salt to boil in large pot.
  5. Reduce heat, add in celery mix and simmer 30 min, adding more stock if soup is too thick.
  6. Add in chicken and mushrooms.
  7. Throw away bay leaves.
  8. Heat soup gently, don't boil.
  9. Serve immediately.
