Italian Pepperoni-Cheese Puffs

  1. Grease 2 large baking sheets; set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan combine water and shortening.
  3. Bring to boiling.
  4. Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously.
  5. Cook and stir until mixture forms a ball.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well with a wooden spoon after each addition.
  9. Stir in pepperoni, cheese, parsley, garlic powder, and pepper.
  10. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets.
  11. Bake in a 450 degree F oven for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden.
  12. Transfer to a wire rack.
  13. Serve warm.
