Beef and Cucumber Salad With Asian Dressing

  1. Preheat a barbecue, grill pan, or frying pan.
  2. Rub the meat with a little oil, and season well.
  3. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove and let sit for 10 minutes, then cut into thin slices.
  5. Using a peeler, make long ribbons with the cucumber.
  6. If they are too wide, then cut the strips lengthways into two.
  7. Arrange the beef, cucumber, onions, chilli and herbs on a platter.
  8. Mix the dressing ingredients together until the sugar is melted.
  9. Pour over the the salad and sprinkle with the crushed peanuts to serve.
