Spiced Chicken Burger
- 500g chicken mince Whole Foods 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 125g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 onion, finely diced or grated Safeway 3 lb For $2.99 thru 02/09
- 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
- 1/4 teaspoons coriander leaves, roughly chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- salt & pepper
- 1/2 cup flour
- oil for frying
- 6 ciabatta rolls, halved
- 1 baby cos lettuce, washed
- 1 red capsicum, cut into thin strips
- extra sweet chilli and coriander leaves for serving
- Combine mince, Philly*, onion, breadcrumbs, sauce, coriander, spices and seasonings.
- Mix well.
- Divide into 6 and form into burgers.
- Dust burgers in flour.
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan or on a barbecue plate.
- Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes each side over a medium heat until cooked through.
- Assemble the lettuce leaves, and capsicum onto the base of each roll.
- Top with the burger, coriander, sweet chilli sauce and top of the roll.
- Serve immediately.
