Tomato Basil Turkey Burgers
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 cups Drained, Canned Diced Tomatoes
- 1/4 cups Freshly Grated Parmesan
- 2 Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Basil
- 2 Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Oregano
- 1 pound Ground Turkey Breast
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 4 Whole Wheat Hamburger Rolls
- Ketchup, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onions, And Lettuce, To Serve
- Whisk the egg in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the garlic, tomatoes, Parmesan, basil, and oregano, and stir well to combine.
- Add the turkey meat and mix well with your hands.
- Shape the turkey mixture into 4 equal patties.
- Prepare your pan or griddle by preheating over medium-high heat.
- Mist lightly with olive oil before adding patties.
- Cook for about 6 minutes per side, or until browned on the outside and no longer pink at all.
- Let cooked patties rest on a clean plate or cutting board for about 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve burgers on whole wheat rolls with ketchup, lettuce, tomato, red onions, and lettuce.
