My Own Personal Salted Cookies
- 30 grams Margarine (or butter) (salted)
- 25 grams Sugar
- 1 +2 grams Salt
- 1 relatively large egg Egg yolk
- 110 grams Cake flour
- Microwave the margarine until it's mostly melted, add sugar and salt, and mix well.
- Continue by adding the egg yolk and mixing.
- Sift in cake flour, and mix until the flouriness disappears while pressing down with a rubber spatula.
- It is OK once it has crumbled like the photo.
- Place into a plastic bag and squeeze together, and then shape into a tube.
- Wrap it up into a neat tube while rolling it around in the plastic bag (about 2.5-3 cm in diameter).
- Remove from the plastic bag and cut about 5 mm thick, and line up on a cookie sheet.
- Press down firmly in the center with your thumb.
- Place into an oven preheated to 340F/170C, bake for about 19-20 minutes, and it is done.
- These are crunchy once cooled.
- Adjust the baking time according to the oven.
- I used "CAFE703's" "You Can Make These Right Away!
- Salt Cookies"as reference for pressing down firmly with a finger molding technique.
- To make the buttons as shown in the photo, poke with the blunt end of a toothpick halfway through the dough after transferring to the cookie sheet before baking.
